12

MRS. MARGE KVENILD, 2720 North Oxford: Lot 5, Block 2,
Gilbert Reiling Addition, Plat 2., Woo~~ill and Oxford, the north-
east corner: I am definitely against what I have heard of this
project. Maybe I've been misinformed, but my understanding from
1972 was that Oxford was to be continued in alignment when the
new section of Oxford came in from County Road C. We have paid
for three assessments in there and we have had nothing but trouble
since we moved in as far as drainage. We have had nothing but
damage to our property - the soil hauled off, put across the street
to the west and to the south. We have hauled dirt in there but
it was taken out. We have had nothing but a big ditch in there.
We have wrecked our cars going out on to Woodhill Drive which has
been (inaudible) continually. Now we're in a hole. We didn't
have a hole there before when Ramsey County had it. But we have a
serious problem now. All we get are a bunch of stones with black
top thrown in and in the winter time the snowplows throw it up
into our yard. We're having constant drainage of this wide ditch
on Woodhill that's slush from the chemicals in the snow and they
corne along and it's thrown up into our lawn with damage to any
cars parked there and our lawn. If you were to look at the situation
you could see the erosion where the dirt has washed out. There was
no problem, but we have had a problem since 1972 on water in our
yard and the blacktop breaking up and nothing but weeds there
because you can't grow grass. We have quit putting grass and sod
in because it's just worn out.

We feel we were told the City storm sewer was going to go up
on our side of Oxford where there is no boulevard on the corner at
all. They're right back up to the property. There was a pole
there that a car hit and the pole was moved back to the east four
feeti so we had more grass there. Now the blacktop is right up to
that pole again and it's a bad situation as far as traffic and
sliding and we do not feel that we should be paying again.

As far as I can see, there's City sewer, water and storm sewer
all in the same section on the east side and the hydrant that was
across has been moved up toward the existing Oxford which is way
out of alignment and we just don't feel we should be paying these
assessments again, but we do want the street aligned like we
were promised.

t1R. JOHN ~mIER, 2776 North Oxford: I am in favor of the
project. I live on the east side of the street. I have been
called a lot of things, but this is the first time I've been
called a sleeping dog. I might add I've been aware of the fact
that the easement was on my property since I bought it and I have
been in favor of the improvement. With inflation the cost will
double in seven years and seven years more it will double again
so for that reason I'm in favor of it.
