<br />COMMUNICATIONS, RECOGNITIONS, AND PUBLIC COMMENTS
<br />Interim Police Chief Tom Alleva introduced Police Officer OJ eg Levendoski,
<br />leader of Roseville Explorer Post 574.
<br />
<br />Officer Levendoski explained that the Explorers are 14 - 21 YI :ars of age and are
<br />trained in law enforcement activities. They participate in a ye lIly competition in
<br />Brainerd, and this year Roseville placed first in Pistol ShootiI1 g, first in Domestic
<br />Abuse Response, third in Computer Response, and fifth place in Crime Scene
<br />Investigation. There were over 800 scouts at the competition 1 epresenting thirty-
<br />five cities. The Roseville Police Explorers came in second ou t of all participating
<br />cities for the most awards won.

<br />Officer Levendoski received the Service to Youth A ward for] lis work with the
<br />Explorers.

<br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, that Christopher Berg/Un< -Yen Company's
<br />request for a Conditional Use Permit for a service station and ~onvenience store
<br />at 2163 Snelling A venue North be continued to the regular Ci y Council meeting
<br />of Tuesday, June 25, 1996. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschk, , Goedeke, Wiski,
<br />and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Maschka seconded, that an ordinance amenc ing the Roseville
<br />City Code, Chapters 1002 and 1103, to add minimum roadwa r standards for
<br />emergency vehicles, be continued to the regular City Council neeting of
<br />Tuesday, June 25, 1996. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschka, ("oedeke, Wiski,
<br />and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, that an ordinance amendir g the Roseville
<br />City Code, Section 1015.03, providing for the public hearing. )fzoning related
<br />matters, be continued to the regular City Council meeting ofl 'uesday, June 25,
<br />1996. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, an i Wall. Nays:

<br />Goedeke moved, Wiski seconded, that Frank Tschida's reque: t for preliminary
<br />plat approval at 350 S. Owasso Boulevard, with an 80 foot se1 back for the six
<br />lots on the cul-de-sac, a $500 park/recreation cash dedication :Or each lot, and
<br />an 8 percent grade instead of a 6 percent grade over the 80 fee t of Farrington
<br />Court to allow the grades to match existing topography, be ap Jroved. Roll Call,
