<br />RECOGNITIONS
<br />City Manager Steve Sarkozy and Mayor Dan Wall gave a background report of
<br />the Sister City Committee and Roseville's new Sister City ofShinmachi, Japan.
<br />Ten students, four returning students, and two teachers were introduced to the
<br />City Council from Roseville's Sister City of Shinmachi, Japan. They are visiting
<br />Roseville for ten days.

<br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

<br />Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, that Resolution 9317, appointing Election
<br />Judges and Alternate Judges for the Primary Election to be held on
<br />September 10, 1996, and the General Election to be held on November 5, 1996,
<br />be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, and Wall.
<br />Nays: None.

<br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, the introduction of the proposed budget and
<br />tax levy for 1997, dates for final tax and budget hearings, and setting August 26,
<br />1996 as the date for the proposed budget and levy. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski,
<br />Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, that the Council affirm the findings of the
<br />Neighborhood 16 Traffic Calming Committee, and direct staff to implement the
<br />plan outlined in the Traffic Calming Report for Neighborhood 16, bounded on
<br />the north by County Road D, on the east by Victoria Street, on the west by
<br />Lexington Avenue, and the south by Millwood Avenue. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski,
<br />Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, that a resolution revising Roseville's
<br />assessment policy for Municipal State Aid (MSA) roads be continued to the
<br />regular City Council meeting of Monday, September 9, 1996. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, and Wall. Nays: None.
