<br />004 <br /> <br />2-26. It shall be the duty of the constable when called upon by the <br />inspector, to perform such duties as may be necessary to enforce the pro- <br />visions of this code. <br /> <br />2-27· When any work shall have been stopped by the inspector for any <br />reason whatsoever it shall not again be resumed until the building in- <br />spector shall have been satisfied that the reason for work stoppe~e has <br />been completely removed. <br /> <br />2-28. It shall be the duty of the inspector to pass upon all questions <br />relating to the strength and durability of buildings or structures. <br /> <br />\, <br /> <br />2-29. The inspector shall examine all buildings or structures for which <br />application has been made for a permit to enlarge, remove or alter such <br />building or structure, to determine whether or not such permit may be <br />granted. <br /> <br />2-30. The inspector is hereby given authority to make such tests or <br />order such tests to be made as he may deem necessary to determine the <br />safety of the condition of any structure, buil~ing or part thereof, <br />material or machinery which it becomes his duty under the provisions of <br />this code to inspect. <br /> <br />2-)1. If in the opinion of the inspector any building or structure shall <br />from any cause whatsoever be in a dangerous condition to persons or <br />property, it shall be his duty to notify the owner thereof of such. con- <br />dition in writing. <br /> <br />2-32. The inspeotor shall have the authority to cause the repair or <br />reconstruction of any building or structure which is dangerous or unsafe <br />to persons or property. <br /> <br />2-33. The inspector shall in writing notify the owner of any building <br />. which might be unsafe, to make the necessary repairs or reconstruction <br />within a specified time. <br /> <br />2-34. The inspector is empowered to recommend condemnation proceedings <br />on any building or structure after proper notices have been delivered <br />to the owner. <br /> <br />2-35. In cases of condemnation, the inspector shall post notices upon <br />the property affected. <br /> <br />2-)6. The inspector shall then have authority, thirty days after such <br />condemnation has been imposed, to enter upon said premises and to fenoe <br />in, prop-up or tear down and remove such unsafe or dangerous building <br />or structure and do all things which in his opinion may be necessary <br />for the protection of life and adjoining property. <br /> <br />2-)7. The amount of the expense Càus~d'bY condemnation may be re- <br />covered by the township from the owner, or owners of the lot or parcel <br />of land. <br /> <br />2-)8. A statement of the expense of any work incidental to the con- <br />demnation of a struc,ture or building shall be filed by the building <br />inspector in the office of the clerk. <br />
