<br />009 <br /> <br />4-37. All wood floor joists shall be provided with well nailed cr9ss <br />bridging and the distance between each row of cross bridging shall not <br />exceed eight (8) feet. <br /> <br />4-38. <br />4-39· <br />unless <br /> <br />All sub-floor shall be laid diagonal. <br /> <br />All wood joists shall bear on 1"x4" ribbons rabbeted into studs <br />such joists bear upon 2"x4" plates. <br /> <br />4-40. One-half of the area of windows opening upon an open porch may be <br />used in figuring the required glass in the room in which they occu~. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4-47. The total area of the ventilating portions of required windows in <br />any habitable room shall not be less than four per cent (4%) of the, floor <br />area of the room, except where a mechanical air change is provided. <br /> <br />4-48. A minimum height of 7'6" will be acceptable on any floor level <br />except the first floor. <br /> <br />4-49. Where 2"x6" material is used the space may be 24" on centers'. <br />Collar beams shall be provided on 48" centers. <br /> <br />4-50. Composition shingles or ready roofing shall be laid so that there <br />is not less than two (2) thicknesses at any point. , <br /> <br />4-51. Stucco shall be limited to cement stucco and shall be applied in <br />three (3) coats with a reasonable drying period of time between each coat. <br /> <br />4-52. All dwellings shall be provided with proper cornice or eave <br />gutters and metallic down-spouts ~or conducting water from the roof to <br />the ground in BUch manner as will protect the walls of the building from <br />damage - <br />
