SECTION 8 HEIGHTS No building shall be erected to exceed two and one-half st~oriea in height except that for institutions on large grounds. The council may in their discretion permit a building of greater height, provided it conform$ to the general development of the adjacent property. Note: This section does not apply to Industrial Districts. SECTION 9 ADVERTISING SIGNS No billboards or signs shall be erected in any Residential District provided, however, that a sign not exceeding twelve (12) square Peet, pertaining to the lease, sale, construction, or improvement of a lot or building or for business and professional purposes shall be permitted thereon. SECTION 10 SETBACKS AND YARDS FAR2d RESIDENCE DISTRICTS: For every building hereafter erected o,r structurally altered there shall be provided a front yard of not less than Thirty (30) feet. RESIDENCE DISTRICTS "A", "H~, and "C": For every building hereafter erected, or structurally altered, there shall be provided a front yard oP not less than thirty (30) feet in depth, ~ and a side yard on each side of the building of not less than five (5) ~;~ Peet in width. If at the time this ordinance becomes effective, exist- ~ ing houses on fifty per cent (50~) or more of the frontage of any block have a predominant front yard ,different from that hbrein specified, ~~` all buildings hereafter erected shall conform to this predominant front yard depth, provided this regulation shall not be interpreted so as to require a front yard of more than forty (40) feet in depth. BUSINESS DISTRICT: No building shall be placed closer than thirty (30) feet from any highway property line, provided, however, that in the ease of gasoline filling stations the gasoline pumps may be placed at a distance of not less than twenty (20) feet from such property line. Side yards shall not be required for any building except as follows: 1. Dwelling8, in which case this requirement shall be the same as that in any residential district.
