<br />191 <br /> <br />SECTICN 18 <br /> <br />STOCK PILE TOP SOIL <br />In all cases, unless specifically authorized to do otherwise, the topsoil <br />will be removed from the proposed road site and stockpiled in some <br />convenient place to be chosen by the owner or his ~ontractor. <br /> <br />IVIDTH OF STREET <br /> <br />Each street will be constructed in;such a way as to have a driving sur- <br />face i)f 30.0 feet wide measuring from gutter line to gutter line and the <br />balance of the right of way on each side will be used for the construction <br />of a boul evard and sidev11l.1k berm. Back slopes and fill slopes. shall be <br />construd,(;d on the private property. The slope to be used for these <br />back slope;:; and fill slopes may be as steep as 2 to 1, i.e. 2 feet hori~ , <br />zontal for each 1 foot of vertical difference, althOUGh the 01ill,"r is urged <br />to uSEf as flat a slope as possible. Any deviation from this section must <br />bo specifically authorized by the Villa~e Engineer. <br /> <br />SECTION .12.. <br /> <br />DISPOSAL OF EARTH HATEHIAL <br />The earth material coming from the excavation on any street will be <br />used to construct all necessary fills on said strent or vIi thin the sub- <br />division containing said street. Any excess of earth material uill be <br />considered property of the miller who is responsible for the grading of <br />the street and may be disposed of outside of the right of Hay in any <br />manner chosen by him. <br /> <br />SECTION 20 <br /> <br />ADHERENCE TO GRADE <br />All grades and cross sections of streets shall be brought to the eleva- <br />tions shoun on the ~lans as described herein and no deviation from such <br />grade of more than 2' inch vTill be permitted. <br /> <br />SECTION 21 <br /> <br />8ECTION 22 <br /> <br />DESIGNED GP..ADE <br />The grades shown on the plan and the markings of the stakes uhich Hill <br />be set by the engineer on the project unless specifically shown other- <br />vnse, shall refer to the finished grade at the center line of the street. <br /> <br />SUBGRADE <br />The contractor will be required to excavate the" traveled portion of <br />the road to a depth sufficiently lower than the finished grade shown on <br />the plan to accommodate the thickness of the subgrado treatment or <br />gravel aplilicat ion Hhich is to be used and Hhich Hill also be shown on <br />the plan. <br /> <br />SECTION 23 <br /> <br />REHOVAL OF POOR NATEPIAL <br />The contractor VIill be required to remove any objectionable material <br />which might be encountered during the construction of the roadbed such <br />as sand pockets, soft peat or vTater bearing clay and in each instance, <br />this wor~ll be done under the supervision and to the satisfaction of <br />the engineer.
