191 SECTICN 18 STOCK PILE TOP SOIL In all cases, unless specifically authorized to do otherwise, the topsoil will be removed from the proposed road site and stockpiled in some convenient place to be chosen by the owner or his ~ontractor. IVIDTH OF STREET Each street will be constructed in;such a way as to have a driving sur- face i)f 30.0 feet wide measuring from gutter line to gutter line and the balance of the right of way on each side will be used for the construction of a boul evard and sidev11l.1k berm. DISPOSAL OF EARTH HATEHIAL The earth material coming from the excavation on any street will be used to construct all necessary fills on said strent or vIi thin the sub- division containing said street. Any excess of earth material uill be considered property of the miller who is responsible for the grading of the street and may be disposed of outside of the right of Hay in any manner chosen by him. SECTION 20 ADHERENCE TO GRADE All grades and cross sections of streets shall be brought to the eleva- tions shoun on the ~lans as described herein and no deviation from such grade of more than 2' inch vTill be permitted. SECTION 21 8ECTION 22 DESIGNED GP..ADE The grades shown on the plan and the markings of the stakes uhich Hill be set by the engineer on the project unless specifically shown other- vnse, shall refer to the finished grade at the center line of the street. SUBGRADE The contractor will be required to excavate the" traveled portion of the road to a depth sufficiently lower than the finished grade shown on the plan to accommodate the thickness of the subgrado treatment or gravel aplilicat ion Hhich is to be used and Hhich Hill also be shown on the plan. SECTION 23 REHOVAL OF POOR NATEPIAL The contractor VIill be required to remove any objectionable material which might be encountered during the construction of the roadbed such as sand pockets, soft peat or vTater bearing clay and in each instance, this wor~ll be done under the supervision and to the satisfaction of the engineer. The material used to backfill these areas shall pass the inspection of the engineer and no backfilling will be done until he has a:)proved the maj>erial to be used for that purpose.
