When new roofing is .being placed, the wrappings, binding, etc. <br />shall be carefully kept in one place and this waste shall be permanently <br />disposed of after each day's work. Failure to comply with this requirement <br />shall be considered a violation of this building code. <br /> <br />6-81 Plywood roof boards shall be not less than five-eighths(.5/S> inch thick <br />when used on rafters spaced twenty-four (24) inches on centers. Lumber, when used <br />on exterior walls, shall be at least three-fourths (3/4) inch thick. <br /> <br />6-8.5 All concrete steps, povches and platforms shall tv constructed on acceptable <br />footing. <br /> <br />6-86 The use of p~recast steps shall be prohibited unless they are guaranteed by <br />the manufacturer for a period of five (.5) years against deterioration or <br />disintegtation. <br /> <br />6-87 The following materials shall be considered as approved materials to be used <br />for the outside covering of any building; wood siding, shakes or shingles, stuccc <br />brick, stone, concrete block or exterior plywood. The use of any other mat- <br />erial shall require special permission of the governing body. <br /> <br />6-88 It shall be required that the area surrounding any newly constructed or new- <br />ly placed building be lecaned up and that all debris shall be completely re - <br />moved from the premises. <br /> <br />6-89 No buildin@s shall be constructed upon frozen ground. <br /> <br />6-90 No building shall be constructed upon filled ground until the fill has compacted <br />sufficiently to support the contemplated load. The lrnild:Lng inspector may <br />call upon the apnlicant for any permit to furnish a report from a recognized <br />engineering firm or labratory in deciding whether or not any fill is compacted <br />suffi~ently. <br /> <br />6-91 The construction af all buildings such as schoolsL theaterst libraries, churches, <br />etc. shall conform with the provisions of the St. t'aul Build~ng Code as revised . <br />and also with State laws as they may apply. <br />-33- <br />
