<br />~ ?, "6-92 <br /> <br />The construction of all business or industrial buildihgs shall conform <br />wi th the provisions of the City of St. Paul Building Code as revised <br />and also the State laws as they may apply. <br /> <br />6-92A The person, fi~ or corporation constructing a building in this mun- <br />icipality shall be required to notify the building inspector several <br />times during said donstruction to insure proper inspection of the <br />structure. These notices shall be given to the inspector as follows: <br />1. "I'llien the foundations are complete. 2. When the entire rough work <br />of the structure is is complete. 3.When the b1.iilding .is complete. <br />In addition to these specific notices, the building inspector may re- <br />quest the builder to notify him at other particular times, the builder <br />shall be~xpected to comply with these requests. <br /> <br />ELECTRICAL <br /> <br />6-93 Upon the completion of the electrical work, it shall be the duty of <br />the person, firm or corporation doing the same to notify the electrical <br />inspector, who shall inspect the installation within forty-eight (48) <br />hours of the time such notice is give~; and if it is found to be fully <br />in compliance with this code and does not constitute a hazard to life <br />and property, he shall issue a certificate of inspection authorizing <br />connection to the electrical service and the turning on of the current. <br />All wires which are to be hidden from view shall be inspected before <br />concealment, and any person, firm or corporation installing such wires <br />shall notify.the electrical inspector, giving him forty-eight (48) <br />hours in which to make the required inspection before such wires are <br />concealed. <br /> <br />6-94 No certificate of inspection shall be issued unless the electrical work <br />is done in strict conformity with the provisions of this ordinance, <br />the statutes of the State of Minnesota, the rules and regulations issued <br />by the Industrial Commission of }unnesota and the Railroad and Warehouse <br />Commission under authority of the state statutes, and unless they are <br />in conformity with the most approved methods ofeconstruction for safety <br />to life and property. <br /> <br />6-95 The regulations as laid down in the National Electrical Code, as app- <br />roved by the American Engineering Standards Conmdttee and in the National <br />Electrical Safety Code, as approved by the American Standards Committee, <br />shall be prima facie evidence of such approved methods. <br /> <br />6-96 Wiring circuits for water heaters and pumps shall be placed in conduit. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND BILLBOABDS <br /> <br />6-96A All signs and billboards shall be designed to withstand a horizontal <br />pressure caused by wind on the projected exposed area of 15 pounds <br />per square foot for solid signs and 25 pounds per square foot for <br />open signs. Solid signs shall be those having 70% or more of the <br />gross area solid and subject to wind pressure. <br /> <br />6-96B If a billboard,or sign is to be erected or maintained adjacent to any <br />-34- <br />
