<br />costs ann expenses incident to the installation ann connection shall <br />be borne by the owner, an 0 the owner shall indemnify the Vi1lage for any <br />loss or damage that may, nirectly or indirectly, be occassioned by the <br />installation of the connection, including restoring the street ann street <br />surface. <br /> <br />B. Pemits shall be issuen only to franchised water companies or to <br />such persons who are duly licensed by the Village to engage in the business <br />of plumbing and who have filed with the municipality the bonos and insurance <br />certificates required as follows: <br /> <br />1. A bond in favor of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota with <br />an approved corporate sure"tY" , in the penal sum of Ten Thousand <br />C$lO,OOO.OO) Dollars, the conriitions of which bond shall be <br />that the licensee shall save the obligee harmless from all <br />costs ann charges that may accrue on account of the rioing .. f <br />any work authorized or permitted by this orriinance; that the <br />licensee shall save the obligee harmless from any loss or <br />damage by rea.son of improper or inadequate work performed by <br />the licensee under the provisions of this ordinance; and <br />further that the licensee shall save the DlllTlicipality harmless <br />from any damage to utility Jines, curbs, streets, street surfaces, <br />s idewals, or other public improvements. <br /> <br />2. A certificate that insurance is in force covering the licensee <br />for the period covered by the licnese in the following <br />minimum amounts: Property Damage --plO,OOO.OO; Public <br />Liability -- $25,000.00 each person, $50,000.00 each accident. <br />The certificate shall state that the policies covering the <br />licenses shall not be cancelled without ten days written <br />notice to the municipality. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. <br /> <br />EXCAV.ATION AND CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />No excavation shall be r:arle by any persons until the permit for the <br />connection has been issued by the Village. The excavation shall be made in <br />such a manner that inconvenience and damage to the public and property is <br />held to the minimum and yet be made so that i.t is safe to work therein. <br /> <br />No water service pipe or water connection shall be installeri in the <br />same trench, or closer than ten (10) feet horizontally to a <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />. <br />
