<br />14.130. Illuminated signs giving off intermittent or <br />rotating beams shall not be permitted in any district. <br /> <br />14.140. Signs pertaining to a non-conforming use in a <br />Residence District shall be flat against the building or structure <br />and shall not, in aggregate, exceed 100 square feet in gross surface <br />area. <br /> <br />14.150. For the purpose of selling, renting or leasing <br />any property, a sign not in excess of 10 square feet in gross <br />surface area in "R" Districts and 35 square feet gross area in <br />all other districts may be placed within the front yard not less than <br />15 feet from a property line for a period not to exceed six months; <br />for the purpose of selling or promoting a residential property of <br />six (6) or more dwelling units, a sign not to exceed one hundred <br />(100) square feet may be erected upon the site. <br /> <br />14.160. Signs shall not be pointed directly to any <br />exterior building surface, but shall be on a separate frame excEpt <br />for incidental signs or display windows. Sign letters, symbols, <br />etc., may be attached directly to a wall by adhesive or mechanical <br />means. <br /> <br />14.170. Signs which do not conform to the regulations <br />set forth in this Ordina nee shall be declared a non-conforming <br />use or structure and as such shall be under the regulations set <br />forth in Section 11.010 through 11.090. <br /> <br />14.180. 'i\lhere signs are erected on commercial sites <br />where two (2) or more principal buildings and/or separate uses are <br />located on a single lot, it shall be the responsibility of the owner <br />of the property to allocate the permitted aggregate gross surface <br />areas and sign location between the uses in such a way as ~o conform <br />with the regulations herein stated in Section 14.010 through 14.230. <br /> <br />14.190. A permit for a sign or signs to be erected upon <br />property other than that zoned industrial, may be denied if the <br />Building Inspector or the Village Council determines that the <br />purpose of such sign is general advertising as distinguished from <br />the advertising of the business, commodity, service or activity <br />conducted upon the location. <br /> <br />14.200. A permit for temporary signs other than referred <br />to elsewhere herein may be issued by the Building Inspector for not <br />more than thirty (30) days for each permit, but such permit may be <br />revoked by the Building Inspector or Village Council and such sign <br />shall be removed immediately. <br />
