<br />(1) Must first have obtained a State chauffeur's license from <br />the Board of Automobile Examiners of the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />(2) Must be a citizen of the United States or have applied for <br />first pa pe rs . <br /> <br />(3) Must be of the age of twenty-one (21) years or over. <br /> <br />(4) Must present a certificate or statement from a physician <br />licensed to practice medicine in the State of Minnesota that the applicant <br />is not subject.to any physical infirmity of mind or body which might <br />render him unfit for the operation of a taxicab. <br /> <br />(5) Must be able to read and write the English language. <br /> <br />(6) Must be clean in dress and person and not addicted to the use <br />of intoxicating liquor or drugs. <br /> <br />(7) Must produce in forms to be provided by the Village Clerk <br />affidavits of his good character from two reputable citizens who have known <br />him personally and observed his conduct during one year next preceding the <br />date of his application. <br /> <br />(8) Must fill out on a blank to be provided by the Village Clerk a <br />statement giving his full name ~ address# place of residence for five (5) years <br />previous to moving to his present address# age~ height" color of eyes# year <br />and place of birth~ such other information as required by this chapter. <br /> <br />(9) Must never have been convicted of a felony except at the <br />discretion of the Village Council. <br /> <br />114.111. Examination of Driver's Permit. Each applicant for a <br />driver1s permit under the provisions of this chapter shall be given a written <br />examination by the Village Clerk on a form which shall be provided by the <br />Village Clerk and approved by the Village Council as to his knowledge of the <br />provisions of this chapter" the traffic regulations and the geography of the <br />Village# and if the result of the examination be unsatisfactory~ the applicant <br />shall be refused a permit. Every applicant must be required to demonstrate <br />his skill and ability to safely handle his vehicle by driving through a crowded <br />section of the Village# accompanied by an inspector or person designated by <br />the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />114. 112. Application for Driver1s Permit. Each applicant for a <br />driver's permit shall file with his application two recent photographs and two <br />fingerprints of himself of a size which may be easily attached to his permit~ <br />one of which photographs shall be attached to his permit when issued and <br />carried by such driver at all times when driving a taxicab, and the other <br />
