<br />the duties of the position. <br />(3) If the position no longer exists, the employee will <br />be reinstated to a position of like status and pay, unless <br />circumstances have so changed as to make it impossible or <br />unreasonable to do so. <br />252.180. Leave of Absence Without Pay. Upon request of <br />an employee, leave of absence without pay may be granted by <br />the Village Council. Such leave of absence shall not exceed <br />a period of ninety days provided that the same may be extended <br />beyond such period if for continued disability or other good <br />and sufficient reasons, but in no case to exceed one (1) year. <br />No vacation or sick leave benefits shall accrue during a period <br />of leave of absence without pay. <br />252.190. Holidays. The following shall be official holidays <br />for all employees subject to this ordinance: New Year's Day, <br />January 1; Lincoln's Birthday, February 12; Washington's <br />Birthday, February 22; Memorial Day, May 30; Independence Day, <br />July 4; Labor Day, the first Monday in September; Christopher <br />Columbus Day, October 12; Christmas Day, December 25; the <br />Friday next preceding Easter Sunday, commonly known as Good <br />Friday; Thanksgiving Day; and Veterans Day, November 11. If <br />Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on a Saturday, the pre- <br />ceding Friday will be considered a holiday. If New Year's Day, <br />or Memorial Day, or Independence Day, or Christmas Day falls on <br />Sunday, the following Monday will be considered a holiday. <br />
