<br />recelves compensation benefits under Workmen's Compensation, <br /> <br />such benefits shall be deducted from the amount of sick leave <br /> <br />benefits otherwise payable under this chapter. The usage of <br /> <br />sick leave benefits will be charged in the same proportion <br />\ <br /> <br />as sick leave benefits paid bears to the combined benefits <br /> <br />received. <br /> <br />252.150. Emergency Leave of Absence. In cases of serious <br /> <br />emergency, including death or serious illness of an employee's <br /> <br />spouse or children, or other emergency of a serious nature, a <br /> <br />regular employee's department head may authorize use of sick <br /> <br />leave benefits for such absences up to a maximum of three days <br /> <br />for each emergency. <br /> <br />252.160. Special Leave. The Village Council may allow <br /> <br />an employee special leave at full pay for attendance at <br /> <br />conferences benefiting the municipality. <br /> <br />With prior council <br /> <br />approval, an employee may take a leave of absence, without <br /> <br />pay, in order to attend a conference benefiting the municipality. <br /> <br />252.170. Military Leave of Absence. <br />(1) Military leaves of absence and re-employment rights <br />of employees returning from active service with the Armed <br />Forces shall be subject to applicable federal and state <br />legislation. <br /> <br />(2) Upon return from a military leave of absence, a <br /> <br />regular employee will be reinstated to his former position if <br />it still exists and the employee is not incompetent to perform <br />
