<br />(5) Temporary employees hired by the day or week to <br />perform unskilled or semi-skilled work. <br />(6) Consultants and others rendering temporary professional <br />services. <br />(7) Volunteer personnel and personnel appointed to <br />serve without pay. <br />250.030. Definitions. <br />(1) "Regular employee" means one who has successfully <br />completed the required probationary period and who is employed <br />on a full-time basis. <br />(2) "Regular part-time employee" means one who has <br />successfully completed the required probationary period and is <br />employed on a schedule of less than 40 hours per week. <br />(3) "Probationary employee" means one who has been <br />assigned to a full-time or part-time position but who has not <br />completed the probationary period. <br />(4) "Temporary employee" means one who has been appointed <br />for full-time or part-time work on a temporary basis for a <br />period not to exceed six months, and compensated on an hourly <br />basis. <br />(5) "Benefits" means vacations, paid holidays, and any <br />other benefits as approved by the Village Council. <br />(6) "Service Credit" means the specified period of time <br />required for an employee to be eligible for benefits. <br />(7) "Fiscal Year" is the period January 1 to December <br />31 inclusive. <br />
