<br />emergency appointments shall be reported to the Village Council <br />at its next regular meeting. The Council shall either approve <br />the provisional appointments for a longer period or terminate <br />the appointments as necessary. <br />250.070. Probationary Period. All original appointments <br />shall be probationary and subject to a probationary period of <br />six (6) months of service after appointment. At any time <br />during the probationary period, the Village Clerk and the <br />employee's department head may recommend to the Village Council <br />that an employee be transferred or dismissed if his position is <br />discontinued or if his performance does not meet the required <br />standards. Probationary employees shall not be entitled to <br />the rights granted under Chapter 252, except for the right to <br />paid official holidays. <br />250.080. Benefits During Initial Probationary Period. <br />During the initial probationary period, but not during a <br />promotional probationary period, an employee will not be paid <br />for any absence from work with the exception of legal paid <br />holidays. If he successfully completes the probationary <br />period, his service credit for the purpose of benefit eligibility <br />shall be determined from his probationary employment date. <br />250.090. Completion of Probationary Period.
