All vacations must be arranged <br />at least thirty days in advance, and the times of such vaca- <br />tions shall be subject to the approval of the department <br />head. Employees will be given opportunity to select vacation <br />periods insofar as it IS practical. Selection of vacation <br />time shall be based on service credit. <br />252.070. Carry-over and Waiver of Vacation Leave. No <br />employee shall be permitted to carryover vacation time from <br />one year to the next; provided, that if in the opinion of the <br />Village Clerk unusual circumstances exist, he may approve a <br />carryover of all or a part of the previous year's vacation. <br />252.100. Sick Leave Plan. Regular employees are <br />eligible for sick leave benefits whereby they will be paid <br />in full for absences from work due to illness or injury <br />according to the provisions in this chapter. <br />252.110. Village Clerk Determines Eligibility. The <br />Village Clerk shall determine, in any particular instance, <br />whether an employee is eligible for benefits under the Sick <br />Leave Plan. <br />252.120. Rate of Accumulation. Sick leave pay will be <br />granted according to accumulated earned service credit from <br />the date of employment at the rate of one day paid sick leave <br />per month.
