<br />110.110. DEFINITIONS. The following definitions <br /> <br />and terms shall apply in the interpretation and enforcement <br /> <br />of this ordinance. <br /> <br />1. ADULTERATED FOOD is any food which consists in <br /> <br />whole or in part of any filthy, putrid, decayed or decomposed <br />~,'t: <br /> <br />substance, or consists in whole or in part of the product <br /> <br />of a disea~ed animal which has died by accident, disease or <br /> <br />otherwise than by slaughter: or if the food or drink is in <br /> <br />contact with a container which is composed in whole or in <br /> <br />part of any poisonous or deleterious substance which may <br /> <br />render the contents injurious to health: or if it contains <br /> <br />or bears any added poisonous or deleterious substance for <br /> <br />which no safe tolerance has been established by any federal, <br /> <br />state or local law or regulation, or is in excess of such <br /> <br />tolerance if one has been established: or if it has been <br /> <br />processed, prepared, packed or held under insanitary con- <br /> <br />ditions whereby it may have been rendered injurious to health. <br /> <br />2. APPROVED shall mean acceptable to the Health <br /> <br />Authority following his determination as to conformance with <br /> <br />the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br />3. CLEAN shall mean the absence of dirt, grease, <br /> <br />filth, rubbish, garbage, insects, vermin and other unsightly <br /> <br />offensive or extraneous matter. <br /> <br />4. CLOSED shall mean fitted together snugly, leaving <br /> <br />no opending large enough to permit the entrance of vermin. <br />-4- <br />
