<br />and surrounding those land areas which are contiguous to designated <br />bodies of public water and areas of natural environmental significance <br />as herein defined and regulated. Specifically, this Chapter purpor ts <br />to: <br /> <br />(1) Regulate the placement of sanitary and waste <br />disposal facilities on lots; <br /> <br />(2) Regulate the area of a lot and the length of <br />water frontage suitable for a building site; <br /> <br />(3) Regulate alteration of the shorelands of public <br /> <br />waters; <br /> <br />(4) Control natural environment areas of ecological <br />value to maintain existing aquatic, vegetation and wildlife conditions <br />to the maximum extent possible; <br /> <br />(5) Regulate the subdivision of land within the <br />corporate limits; and, <br /> <br />(6) Provide variances from the minimum standards <br /> <br />and criteria. <br /> <br />93.040. Compliance. The use of any shoreland of <br />public waters, the size and shape of lots, the use, size, type and <br />location of structures on lots; the installation and maintenance <br />of water supply and waste disposal facilities; the filling, grading, <br />lagooning, or dredging of any shoreland area; the cutting of <br />shoreland vegetation; and the subdivision of lots shall be in full <br />compliance with the terms of this Chapter and other applicable <br />regulations. Construction of buildings, private water supply <br />and sewage disposal systems and erection of signs shall require <br />a permit unless otherwise expressly excluded by the requirements <br />of this Chapter. <br /> <br />93.050. Abrogation and Greater Restrictions. This <br />Chapter supersedes all provisions of any City Zoning Code that <br />relates to shoreland s. However, the provisions of the existing <br />City Zoning Code and map of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />are hereby incorporated by reference and shall, to the extent of <br />greater restrictions only, be made as much as part of this <br />Chapter as if the matter described were fully set out herein. <br /> <br />It is not otherwise intended by this Chapter to repeal, abrogate, <br />or impair any existing deed restrictions or ordinances other than <br /> <br />-2- <br />
