<br />(12) Mobile Sign. A mobile sign is a sign mounted <br />or carried on a trailer or motor vehicle for the primary pur- <br />pose of exhibiting such sign. <br /> <br />(13) Thoroughfares. Major thoroughfare routes two <br />to four lanes, county roads, and other business or industrial <br />frontage streets. <br /> <br />(14) Expressways. State trunk highways, four lane <br />divided and semi-divided, limited and semi-limited access <br />routes (Snelling Avenue and Trunk Highway 36 and Trunk High- <br />way 280). <br /> <br />(15) Freeways. Federal Aid Interstate routes, <br />four to six lanes divided, limited access and including con- <br />tiguous frontage roads (FAI 35W). <br /> <br />General provisions <br /> <br />14.030. Advertising Signs Prohibited. Advertising <br />signs shall not be permitted in any district in the City of <br />Roseville. No person shall maintain or erect an advertising <br />sign on property controlled by him. <br /> <br />14.040. Flashing Signs Prohibited. Signs giving off <br />intermittent or rotating beams shall not be permitted in any <br />district. <br /> <br />14.050. Mobile Signs Prohibited. No person shall place, <br />or allow to be placed, a mobile sign having a surface area in <br />excess of twenty-five (25) square feet on any public or private <br />property within the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />14.060. Roof Signs Prohibited. Roof signs, roof adver- <br />tising symbols, roof logos, roof statues or roof sculptures <br />shall not be permitted in any district. <br /> <br />14.070. Rotating Signs Prohibited. Rotating signs <br />shall not give off an intensity of light so as to constitute <br />a rotating beam or a nuisance to adjacent property owners. <br /> <br />14.080. Signs Conflicting with Traffic Signals Prohibited. <br />No sign shall be erected that, by reason of position, shape or <br />color would interfere in any way with the proper functioning <br />or purpose of a traffic sign or signal. <br /> <br />3 <br />
