<br />14.090. Painted Signs Prohibited. Signs painted <br />directly on the outside wall or roof of the building shall not <br />be permitted in any zoning district. Signs shall not be <br />painted on fences, rocks, or similar structures or features <br />in any district. Paper and similar signs shall not be attached <br />directly to a building by an adhesive or similar means. <br /> <br />14.100. Placement of Signs. Signs may be placed on any <br />wall or a structure and may extend a maximum of 18 inches from <br />such wall into a required yard. Signs are subject to all yard <br />and building height requirements in all districts except that <br />no sign shall extend above the height of a building to which <br />it is attached. <br /> <br />14.110. Aggregate Signs. Where signs are erected on <br />commercial sites where two (2) or more principal buildings <br />and/or separate uses are located on a single lot, it shall be <br />the responsibility of the owner of the property to allocate <br />the permitted aggregate gross surface areas and sign location <br />between the uses in such a way as to conform with the regulations <br />herein stated. <br /> <br />14.120. "For Sale" Signs. For the purpose of selling, <br />renting or leasing any property, a sign not in excess of 10 <br />square feet in gross surface area in Residence Districts and <br />35 square feet gross area in all other districts may be placed <br />within the front yard not less than 15 feet from a property <br />line for a period not to exceed 6 months; for the purpose of <br />selling or promoting a residential property of 6 or more <br />dwellings units, a sign not to exceed 100 square feet may be <br />erected upon the site. <br /> <br />14.130. Political Signs. Temporary poster signs for <br />political advertising of elections conducted in the City of <br />Roseville may be posted not more than 21 days before primary <br />elections and must be removed by those responsible for their <br />being posted within 5 days following the general election <br />for which the sign was posted. <br /> <br />14.140. Public Ways. Signs shall not be permitted <br />within the public right-of-way or easements except bench signs, <br />newspaper and cab stands and church direction signs, all of <br />which shall be as governed by the Building Code. City, county <br />and state traffic directional signs are permitted. <br /> <br />4 <br />
