Storage of explosives and blasting agents is <br />prohibited in all areas other than those zoned "1-1" and 1- <br />2" and then only when stored in accordance with NFPA <br />No. 495. <br /> <br />35.040. Establishment of Limits of Districts in <br />which Storage of Flammable Liquids in Outside Above <br />Ground Tanks is to be Prohibited. <br /> <br />(a) The limits referred to in Section 79-201(a) of <br />the Uniform Fire Code in which storage of flammable <br />liquids in outside above ground tanks is prohibited, are <br />hereby established as follows: All areas other than that <br />area bounded by Cleveland A venue, STH No. 36, the north <br />City Limits and the west City limits. <br /> <br />(b) The limits referred to in Section 76.601 of the <br />Uniform Fire Code, in which new bulk plants for flam- <br />mable liquids are prohibited are hereby established as <br />follows: All areas other than that area bounded by <br />Cleveland Avenue, STH No. 36, the north City limits and <br />the west City limits. <br /> <br />35.050. Establishments of Limits in Which Bulk <br />Stora e of Li uified Petroleum Gas is to be Restricted. <br />The limits referred to in Section 82.105 a of the Uniform <br />Fire Code in which bulk storage of liquified petroleum gas <br />is restricted are hereby established as follows: All areas <br />except those areas zoned "1-1" and "1-2". Such storage is <br />permissible in "B-1", "B-IB", "B-2" and "B-3" districts by <br />special use permit issued by the City Council. <br /> <br />35.055. Protection Systems for Liquified Petroleum <br />Gas Storage. <br /> <br />All bulk storage facilities for liquified petroleum gas <br />containing 2,000 gallons water capacity or more shall be <br />stored in tanks protected from fire by one of the following <br />protection systems: <br /> <br />(1) A pre-action water spray system designed in <br />accordance with National Fire Protection Association <br />Standard No. 15 which is hereby adopted by reference. <br /> <br />(2) Tanks coated with a water based, thermally <br />activated, subliming, intumescent fire-proofing insulation <br />capable of passing a minimum fire resistance test of one <br />hour when tested on steel pressure vessels using standard <br />industry tests; the surface coating shall be impermable <br />and hard-shelled to resist weathering. <br />
