County Road B. <br /> <br />Mr. Membrez announced that his firm represents one of the four property owners, <br />therefore, he would abstain from voting and would step down during this discussion. <br /> <br />Mr. Oscar Jones again presented the plans for the development of the subject <br />property. They would construct 3 apartment buildings with 103 units and 4l town <br />house units. They would have 150 garage units and 134 open parking spaces. The <br />area would be landscaped and outdoor swimming pools are planned. Cleveland <br /> <br />Mr. Pat Flaherty gave a case history of the past attempts to rezone the property. The <br />others covered pretty much the same subjects listed in the minutes of April 5, 1967. <br /> <br />Mrs. Jaglowski and her lawyer spoke in favor of the rezoning. <br /> <br />It was the opinion of the commission that this corner could not be developed residential <br />and that by surrounding the apartments with townhouses it commits the rest of the corner <br />to townhouses and single family development. It was pointed out that this property plus <br />the Peterson property (19 acres) could be platted out for 48 homes or 340 apartment <br />units. Therefore, it was moved by Carpenter and seconded by Nelson that we recommend <br />approval of the request for rezoning from R-l to R-3A and R-l to R-6 as submitted in <br />the application. Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />It was then moved by Pope and seconded by Carpenter that we table the special use permit <br />until our June 7, 1967 meeting. Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 383-67. Zimmerman Realty request for variance in height of building at <br />County Road B and Pascal Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Van Haughan presented the request for a 3 story building to face Pascal with <br />2 curb cuts on County Road B. The building would be within l50' of the residential <br />property on the south side of County Road B. <br /> <br />Mr. W. E. Kapitan, 1446 W. County Road B, presented a petition with 44 signatures <br />against the variance. He also stated that Ordinance No. l49 passed in July, 1958 <br />limited buildings to 1-1/2 stories. Mr. and Mrs. Olson, 1440 West County Road B, <br />wanted the traffic problem considered. <br />
