He said that his father <br />would be willing to dedicate that property needed for the widening of the streets. <br />Dr. Roger Edison, 1475 Centennial Drive, did not want any traffic to be generated that <br />would come down Centennial Drive. After discussion, <br /> <br />It was moved by Pope and seconded by Edlund tilat <br />grant the request for division of lot subject to <br />for street purposes and the dedication of a full <br />Drive as approved by the Public Works Director, <br /> <br />we recommend to the Council that they <br />the dedication of 10' along Hamline <br />cul-de-sac on the west for Centennial <br />Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 488-68 - Andrew Janos - Variance to setback at 1778 Ryan Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Andrew Janos said that his house was built with an II' setback on the west side. <br />This does not leave him enough property to build a 20' 4" garage unless he is granted a <br />variance. He stated that the owner of the property on the east side of him does not <br />object to this request. After discussion, <br /> <br />It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Pope that we recommend to the Council that they <br />grant a sideyard setback to within 2-1/2 feet of the property line subject to a letter <br />from the owner on the east, namely Mr. Traeger, being on file stating that he has no <br />objections to the variance. Roll Call: Ayes: Anderson, Membrez, Pope and Remsburg. <br />Nays: Demos, Edlund and Carpenter. <br /> <br />Subject File 489-68 - Ban-Con, Inc., Division of four lots at 894, 91l, 917 and 929 <br />, - ~ ~ Transi t Aver~ue <br /> <br />Mr. Ted Glassrud of Ban-Con requested tilat the <br />on the north side of Transit and into two lots <br />attempted to purchase the land to the south of <br />ful. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 490-68 - Esther Logerquist - request for rezoning from R-2 to R-3 at <br />2088 Fry Street. <br /> <br />Mr. John Logerquist stated that they would like to build an apartment in the basement of <br />their building which is 28' by 80' on property that is 87' x l38'. He said that they <br />would have the six parking spaces on the property as required by ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Ted Dolan, Mr. Wallace Spruce and Mr. Michael Anderson spoke against the r.ezoning. <br />TIley stated that the signatures on the petition were mainly from commercial owners who <br />didn't care what happened to the residential property. After discussion, <br /> <br />It was moved by Edlund and seconded by Demos that we recommend to the Council that they <br />deny this request for re zoning. Roll Call: unanimous, <br /> <br />Subject file 491-68 - McGough Construction Company - request for variance to sideyard <br />, setback at 2737 North Fairview Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. McGough stated tilat the trucking outfit to the south of them were parking up to <br />the lot line with their trailers so he coold see no reason why they couldn't build up to <br />the lot line. However, if we couldn't approve that, any kind of a variance would help <br />them. Land was t~valuable to use for setbacks. After discussion <br />
