He wanted to know if this road had been changed from the previous plan <br />submitted by Mr. Nowicki. It was stated that the road has not been changed and still is <br />SO feet from the apartment complex property line. Mr. Burger indicated that the developer <br />would start this project immediately if it were approved by the Village Council. He <br />further indicated that it would take approximately 30 days to complete the plan for the <br />apartment complex. <br /> <br />On the subject of the utilities, ~~. Burger reiterated that they would be put in <br />at the cost of the developer and then turned over to the Vi Hage for maintenance. He <br />also indicated that it is the intention of the developer to complete the street all the <br />way through to Dale Street and, therefore, no other property would be involved with <br />special assessments. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />1 <br /> <br />Edlund moved, Eagles seconded, that the special use permit and planned unit develop- <br />ment at the northeast corner of County Road B and Dale Street by Lad Properties, Inc. be <br />approved. Johnson, Pope, Edlund, Eagles and Membrez. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Plannin$ File 509-69 - Phoenix Petroleum Company request for variance to sign ordinance <br />at 2b'b West tounty Road C. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />There was no representative from the Phoenix Petroleum Company present at the <br />Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Since there was no representative from the Phoenix Petroleum Company present at the <br />meeting, the Commission referred to Mr. Dahlgren's planning report and raised a number of <br />points contained in this report. After consideration and discussion by the Commission <br />members the chairman indicated that he would now entertain a motion for this proposal. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Eagles moved, Pope seconded, that the Phoenix Petroleum Company request for a <br />variance to sign ordinance at 2070 West County Road C be denied. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Carpenter, Johnson, Pope, Edlund, Eagles, Membrez. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 510-69 - State of Minnesota Highway Department plans for renaming of <br />St. Cr01X ~treet north of T .H. 36. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />, <br /> <br />Mr. Sherman GOldberg, Public Works Director for the Village of Roseville, <br />indicated that he had received a letter from the State Highway Department requesting <br />that the Village rename the present St. Croix Street north of 'LB. 36 leading into the <br />industrial area of Roseville. The State Highway Department feels that the present de- <br />signation of St. Croix Street would be ineffective in directing traffic into the area <br />and the addition of some other designation would be more beneficial to the industrial <br />area. <br />
