Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 533-69 - Allied Central Stores dba Donaldson's request for variance to set- <br />back at lS~S West H1ghway 36. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Reubane, Vice President with Donaldsons and Mr. MacPherson, also associated with <br />Donaldsons indicated that they would like to construct a car care center on the northeast <br />corner of their property. Mr. Reubane stated that the car care center would be compatible <br />with the Donaldson store as well as the entire shopping center. The traffic flow would <br />come from inside the parking lot so that anyone coming to the car care center would have to <br />enter into the parking lot off of B-2 prior to getting to the car care center. Mr. Reubane <br />also explained that the Donaldson Company had an agreement with the Dayton Development <br />Corporation to the effect that Donaldson could construct one exterior building in addition <br />to their main store on the Rosedale Shopping Center site. He stated, of course, that this <br />additional building would have to be located on the property that the Donaldson Company <br />owns. He further indicated that there would be approximate ly 25 parking stalls around the <br />car care center to accommodate their anticipated business. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren was asked for his comments in regards to this car care center proposed by the <br />Donaldson Company. Mr. Dahlgren stated that this plan, the construction of a TBA center is <br />completely opposed to the original plan for the Rosedale Shopping Center submitted by the <br />Dayton Development Company over a year and a half ago. <br />Mr4 John Bailey from Bruce Street asked if there would be any parking on County Road B-2. <br />Mr. William Gale on the corner of Bruce and Fairview wanted to know why the 100 foot setback <br />requirements could easily be violated. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Pope Moved, Edlund Seconded, that the application by Allied Central Stores dba Donaldsons <br />for a variance to setback at 1595 W. Highway 36 for a car care center be denied. Roll Call, <br />Ayes: Carpenter, Pope, Eagles, Edlund, Membrez. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 534-69 - Jerome Pino, request for variance to corner yard setback at 668 West <br />County Road ~-2. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Jerome Pino indicated that he is requesting a variance from 30 feet to 21 feet so that <br />he can construct a garage on his property. <br /> <br />Dis cuss ion <br />- <br /> <br />No one appeared in favor or against this proposed matter and there was no discussion from <br />the Commission members. <br />
