<br />-2- <br /> <br />Discussim <br /> <br />Shennan Goldberg, Village Engineer, stated that Mr. May of the State Highway <br />Department has indicated that the developer should cOlI1'lete a study of the <br />necessity or lack of necessity for maintaining the drainage easement at its pre- <br />sent elevation. This study would then be presented to the state for their review <br />prior to any decision being made on the re-conveyance of the easement. <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos indicated that the Planner had not received the required landscape plans <br />and contour maps from the developer. <br /> <br />Mr. Van Hausen stated that prior to providing all the IOOre technical aspects of <br />the plan and expending additional funds, that the developer would at least like an <br />indication of the feelings of the Conunission towards the total concept of the plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett indicated that the Commission has recommended approval on a project <br />with less technical documentation being presented; ice., View Con. <br /> <br />Mr. Eagles felt that the developer's request for an expression of sentiment on the <br />part of the Commission was a legitimate one. <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos stated that she had severe reservations about not seeing the whole package <br />before making a recollJY1endation to the Council. <br /> <br />John Brown, 1475 Transit, indicated that the other three corners of TH 36 - Snelling <br />Avenue area are already over developed. He felt that a better project than the pro- <br />posed one could certainly be located on the property. He felt that the property <br />could remain as it is. Roseville does not need the development. <br /> <br />Mr. Fred Gibbs, 2446 North Pascal, inquired as to what percentage of the property <br />was covered by the lake. <br /> <br />Mr. Van Hausen indicated that a little over 9 acres of the total 17 acre site was <br />covered by water. <br /> <br />Steve Ocha, 2421 SimpSal, inquired as to what had been done about studying the traffic <br />situatial al County Road B-2. <br /> <br />Mr. Goldberg indicated that B-2 is designed for about 8,000 - 10,000 cars a day and <br />that the latest traffic counts indicated approximately 3,800 cars per day. <br /> <br />Warren Kelso, 2454 North Pascal, asked if there was not a restriction on the height <br />of buildings within the Village. Mr. Kelso granted that the property was not a good <br />area for single family homes, but he hoped that the Cotmcil would consider the people <br />in the area and their homes. <br /> <br />Steve Ocha indicated that he was opposed to the project. <br /> <br />John Brown inqui red as to why the property could not be developed in single family <br />dwellings. <br /> <br />Mr. Edlund indicated that the cost of the property, because of its location, would <br />be prohibitive in its development for single family hOJres. <br /> <br />Mrs. DeIOOS stated that the Village, by purchasing the municipal golf course, had <br />helped the residents in the area considerably by assuring that the golf course <br />remains as open space. <br />
