<br />-2- <br /> <br />Planning File 66l-7l = Bridgeman's request for variance to pylon sign setback <br />at 2150 North Lexington Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Boss and Mro Gilbert Lindemann, owners of the Roseville BridgemanVs <br />restaurant appeared on their behalf. Mro Lindemann stated it was his impression <br />that the sign variance had been taken care of on the original application. <br />However, he later discovered this was not the case. He stated that the sign <br />would be placed at the comer of Burke and Lexington and that the required set- <br />back from both streets was 30 feet. He was proposing a setback of 14 feet from <br />Burke and 14 feet from Lexington. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos pointed out that the MaryY s Dairy, located adjacent to Bridgeman's <br />had previously requested a sign variance in an almost identical situation and <br />the reques t had been denied. <br /> <br />Mr. Pope indicated that the Clark Oil Station which blocks the view of the <br />restaurant has been there for some time, and that when Bridgemans constructed <br />their building they were aware of the situation, therefore, he was hesitant to <br />vote for any sign variance. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett moved and Mr. V. Johnson seconded, that the Commission recommend denial <br />of Bridgeman's request for variance to pylon sign setback at 2150 North Lexington <br />Avenue. Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett and V. Johnson. Nays: Demos, G. Johnson and <br />Pope. <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos moved and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the Commission recornrrend <br />approval of Bridgeman's request for variance to pylon sign setback at 2150 North <br />Lexington 0 Roll Call, Ayes: Demos, G . Jonson, V. Nays: <br />Kellett. <br /> <br />Planning File 662-71 - Pat Vitale request for variance to side yard setback at <br />630 Iona Lane <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mro Vitale indicated that the present home as originally constructed is closer than <br />10 feet to tIle side property line. lIe indicated that he is proposing a 10 feet <br />addition to the rear of the house which would bring the building to within 3.76 <br />feet of the side yard property lineo Mro Vitale stated his neighbor's house <br />directly to tile south is located about 10 feet from the property line and the part <br />of the neighbor's house closest to his property is the garage. Mro Vitale pre- <br />sented a letter from the neighbor located in the adjacent house to the south <br />indicating that he had no objection to the relaxation of the side yard require- <br />ment from lO feet to 3.76 feet. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson Moved and r.lro Kellett Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval <br />of Pat Vitale's request for variance to side yard setback at 630 Iona Lane. Roll <br />Call, Ayes: Demos, Kellett, Go Johnson, V. Johnson and Pope. Nays: None. <br />
