-2-

Discussion

Mr. G. Johnson inquired as to whether parking ramps would be economic-
ally feasible in the development.

Mr. Rafferty indicated that their sources have indicated that it would
not be.

Mrs. Demos indicated that she was opposed to the sea of asphalt in this
new proposal.

Mr. Pope stated that the original proposal was an excellent concept. He
felt that the present proposal was a couple of steps below that, and
indicated that frankly he was disappointed in the plan. He felt that
perhaps the original proposal could still be developed by moving the
buildings sufficient distance to the west so that they would not conflict
with the flowage easement.

Mr. Robert Blomberg, applicant, stated that they were hoping to get the
feeling of the Commission members toward the new concept, and that
further refinement of specifics could be accomplished before another meet-
ing. He stated that it was their intent to construct the best possible
development on the site which would be an asset to Roseville.

Mr. Glen Johnson, 1535 County Road B-2, indicated that he was interested
in the traffic study which had been made last year. He also stated
that the residents were desirous of seeing a good viable development on
the site, but that they do not want "downtown" in their back yards.

Shawn Johnson, 1535 County Road B-2, stated that the proposed project
would create hazardous traffic conditions, loss of enjoyment of the green
area and the lake, and would turn the residential area into a commercial
area. She urged the Commission to consider the request very carefully.

Vic Eimen, 2426 North Pascal, expressed his concern about the traffic
problem on County Road B-2.

Mr. Daubney stated that the applicant would gladly provide copies of the
traffic study to anyone who was interested, as well as other information
regarding the application.

Mr. Herb Johnson also indicated his concern about the traffic problem
on B-2, and felt that the additional traffic generated by the development
would only intensify an already existing problem.

Mrs. Boyd, 2515 Snelling Curve, inquired as to what the developer antici-
pated for a signing program.

Mr. Noble responded that ~ final decision had not been made, but that he
would anticipate a sign near Highway 36 which would conform with the Village
code requirements, and at this point he was not sure what other signs would
be required.

Mr. Paul Tripplett asked if there would be tall light poles in the parking
lot.

Mr. Daubney indicated that only low level lighting would be utilized.
