Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 758 - Dennis Neumann request for variance to side yard setback at <br />479 Centennial Drive <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Neumann indicated that he proposed to construct a tW'O car attached garage which would <br />come within 6 ft, 7 in. of his property line, The Code requirement is for a 10 foot set- <br />back. <br /> <br />Recorrnnendation <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos moved and Mr. Membrez seconded, that Dennis Neumann's request for variance to <br />side yard setback at 479 Centennial Drive be approved. Nays: None, <br /> <br />Planning File 759 - Kath Brothers request for rezoning from K-l to B-2 at 2425 North <br />Rice Street <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Carl Lien, representing the applicant, indicated that when the original application for <br />rezoning had been made, approximately one year ago, it had been intended to rezone all of <br />Mr. Kath' s property. However, because of an incorrect survey, a strip approximately 101 <br />feet wide running from Transit Avenue to County Road B-2 was not rezoned. The present <br />application is to have that strip rezoned from R-l to B-2, My, Lien indicated that because <br />of the increased size of the property that it is also proposed to increase the size of the <br />building to over 93,000 sq. ft. of floor area, The new proposal does not require a parking <br />variance as did the original development plan, <br /> <br />DisQ.lssion <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Walker, Gal tier Street, inquired if any more lng of the pond was proposed <br />in addition to what was proposed in the original application, <br /> <br />Mr. North read a report from the Acting Village Engineer which indicated that the revised <br />location of the building would not appreciably increase the amount of fill in the pond <br />over the original plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Lien indicated that the gas station presently located on the corner of County Road B-2 <br />and Rice Street would be removed and utilized for parking for the new buildingo The <br />original plan did not call for the removal of the gas station. <br />
