- ~-

Mr. Keller indicated that It was not his plan to develop tIle parking lot In the near
future. It would probably be two or three years.

Mr. Membrez favored the application,

Recommendation

Mr. Membrez moved, and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the Commission recommend approval
of Roseville Professional Center's request for rezoning from R-l tp B-1 at 2231 North
Hamline Avenue. Roll Call, Ayes: Membrez, Kellett, G. Johnson and Pope. Nays: Demos.

Planning File 794 - Ramsey COlUlty Library request for variance to front yard set-back
at 2180 North Hamline Avenue.

Presentation

Mr. Craig Anderson, Buetow and Associates, representing the applicant, indicated that the
proposal is to construct an addition to the Ramsey County Library which would require
a variance to the front yard set-back. The Village Ordinances require a 30-foot set-
back and the addition would extend to within about 22 feet of the property line.

Discussion

Mrs. Demos inquired if the request had been reviewed by the Ramsey County Highway
Department, since both County Road Band Hamline Avenue are county roads.

Mr. Anderson indicated in the negative,

Mr. Honchell indicated that any encroachment into the set-back at an intersection is
not good, however, since traffic signals do exist at the intersection of COlUlty Road B
and Hamline, the increased hazard created by the addition to the building would be
minimal.

Recommendation

Mr. Membrez moved, and Mr. Kellett seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of
Ramsey County Library's request for variance to front yard set-back at 2180 North
Hamline Avenue. Roll Call, Ayes: Membrez, Demos, Kellett, G. Johnson and Pope. Nays:
None,

Planning File 795 - Gordon Davis' request for rezoning from R-1 to R-2 and preliminary
plat at 605 County Road B-2.

Presentation

Mr. Brad Johnson, representing the applicant, indicated that they propose to construct
three double blUlgalows on the property if it is rezoned. He felt that it was a very
good use of the property and that there would be no chance of single family homes being
built on that parcel,

Discussion

Mr. Membrez indicated that this might be considered spot rezoning, but that he favored
the application.

Recommendation

Mrs. Demos moved, and Mr. Kellett seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of
Gordon Davis' request for rezoning from R-l to R-2 and preliminary plat at 605 County Road
B-2, and further recommends that the Village COlUlci1 not take final action on this request
until a decision has been made on the site location for the proposed Village fire station
#3. Roll Call, Ayes: Membrez, Demos, Kellett, Go Johnson and Pope. Nays: None.
