<br />-2- <br /> <br />Planning File 840 - Construction 70 Request for Special Use Permit at 1215 Larpenteur <br />Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Lafferty, representing the Red Barn Restaurant, made a slide presentation of <br />other Red Barn sites in the metropolitan area. In July 1973 this special use permit <br />had been recommended for approval by the Planning Commission and approved by the City <br />Council, However, the special use permit had expired in January 1974, therefore, it <br />was necessary for the applicant to again make application for the permit. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that he thought there had been improvements in the parking <br />scheme since the last application and that the applicant had done a good job with this <br />site in providing for landscaping. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson moved and Mr. Kellett seconded, that the Commission recommend approval <br />of Construction 70' s request for special use permit at l215 Larpenteur Avenue. Roll <br />Call, Ayes: Grauel, V. Johnson, Kellett, Mernbrez, Durgin and G. Johnson. Nays: None, <br /> <br />Planning File 841 - Chris Christea request for division of lot at 12ll Oakcrest <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Chris Christea indicated that she had previously divided a lot on the east side of <br />her property. Now she desires to divide the remaining lot. She stated that she has <br />completed the filling of her property. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr, Nagel, 2560 Fernwood Avenue, indicated that he had no objection to the proposed <br />split, however, he was concerned about how much fill was going to be permitted on <br />Lot 5, which had been created by the earlier lot split. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr, Kellett moved and Mr. Grauel seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Chris Christea's request for division of a lot at 1211 Oakcrest. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Grauel, V. Johnson, Kellett, Membrez, Durgin and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 842 - Review of Zoning Ordinance Regarding Agricultural Uses in R-l <br />zone <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that earlier this year when Margolis Bros. had requested to use <br />their R-l zoned property on Larpenteur Avenue, west of Galtier Street, for the growing <br />of nursery stock, that it was discovered when the city ordinances were codified in <br />September 1969, the section dealing with agricultural uses in residential zones was <br />apparently deleted. The City Council has referred this matter to the Planning Commission <br />for its review and recommendation. Mr. Dahlgren suggested that the Agricultural uses <br />be inserted as a special use in the R-l zone. <br />
