<br />.4~ <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Jensen, 2584 Dellwood, indicated that a petition had been presented to the <br />Commission with the signatures of approximately 90% of the people in the adjoining <br />neighborhood, He stated he feels that trailer parks are a need, however, the park is <br />sImply not large enough for mobile homes as they are designed today, He commented that <br />the resIdents had been told at the time the park was last expanded that no further <br />expansion would be required- Even if the trailer court were expanded it would not meet <br />the minimum standards of today's courts, He stated that he was not against business <br />but that he was for good land use,. <br /> <br />Mr Donahue, 1294 Rose Place, commented that the 12 acres of property presently owned <br />by Mr Klucsar pays $6tOOO a year in real estate taxes, or approximately $56 per trailer, <br />He also stated that each trailer owner also pays a personal property tax, It was his <br />contention that the property was under utilized economically, <br /> <br />Mr. Don Dexter, resident of the mobile home park, stated that he has just as much right <br />to live in Roseville as anyone else and that the neighborhood residents should consider <br />the rIghts of others, <br /> <br />MISe Georganne Hall, PresIdent of the Roseville League of Women Voters, stated that the <br />League has taken a position supporting low and moderate income housing for the City of <br />Roseville, and that she would like to see the Commission, the landowner, and the citizens <br />work together for a solutIon that would provide for a mobile home park to exist, <br /> <br />Mr c Dahlgren Indicated that the Metropolitan Council considers mobile homes to be <br />moderate income housing <br /> <br />Mr- Harold Anderson, l07S Brooks~ Indicated that his wife's parents live in the trailer <br />park and that If they were not able to live there he didn't know where they could possibly <br />live because of the hIgh costs today, <br /> <br />Mr August Haugan, 1161 Oakcrest. thought that the trailer court should remain as it IS <br />In size and be improved in qual ity c <br /> <br />Mr George Johnson stated that If the mobile park were to comply with the minimum re~ <br />quirement of 5,000 square feet per mobile home as recommended by the League of Minnesota <br />~~niclpalities, which seems to be reasonable, that 50 units would be permitted on the <br />existing development and an addnional 35 units in the R-2 area if it were approved for <br />the expansion, He stated he thought mobile homes should be provided in Roseville, <br /> <br />Mr Membrez felt that too much crowding was occuring on the property~ that the land was <br />too small for the proposal. He favored a good mobile home park, <br /> <br />Mr _. Grauel felt that the lot sizes proposed are less than minimal and if the City is <br />going to have a mobile home park it should be one that we can be proud ofa He indicated <br />that the applicant had done a poor job of public relations in the neighborhood and he <br />though the applicant should complete the grading and cleaning of his property as <br />instructed by the City Council He stated his opposition to any rezoning of the property <br />to B3 <br /> <br />Mr, Kellett suggested that the Commission give the applicant its feeling regarding the <br />rezoning -. <br /> <br />Mr Durgin commented that a committment had been made in the past to the residents <br />regardIng the buffer zone. that being the R~2 zoning, and he didn'1t feel the Commission <br />should go agalnst that commitment, <br />
