Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 880 - Glen Kloskin request for variance to permit an advertising <br />sign at 2647 Western Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Paulette Weike represented the applicant. She indicated that the sign is located <br />on Mr, Kloskin's property and is used by the Ban-Con Corporation, She stated that <br />the sign presently advertises the Heatherwood Addition. Ban-Con would like to re- <br />patn~ the sign advertising the Hillsborough addition. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Edwin Mundt, 2650 Western, commented that if the sign remains, the grass around the <br />sign should be clipped and the area maintained. Mr. Struble, 2655 Western, stated <br />that the sign presently has a realtor's sign posted on it which makes it look rather <br />shabby. Ms. Weike indicated that Ban-Con has provided a letter to Mr. Kloskin agree- <br />ing to maintain the sign and to clip the grass in the area of the sign. She said <br />that the realtor's sign could be incorporated as part of the larger sign. She <br />stated that Ban-Con would remove the sign when the variance expired. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett moved and Mr. V. Johnson seconded that the Commission recommend approval <br />of Glen Kloskin's request for variance to permit an advertising sign at 2647 Western <br />Avenue, with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) that the sign be removed by December 31, 1975 <br />2) that the name of the rear"estate company and phone number be incorporated as <br />part of the sign and not just a sign posted on the larg~ sign. <br />3) that the sign and the immediate surrounding area be properly maintained, <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: V. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 881 - Merrill Holste request for division of lot at 2228 St. Stephens St, <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Merrill Holste indicated that he proposes to divide his existing lot creating two <br />lots, each about 129 feet by 135 feet. The proposal meets all the requirements of <br />the City Code. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett moved and Mr. Membrez seconded that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Merrill Holste's request for division of lot at 2228 St. Stephens Street. Roll Call, <br />Ayes: V. Johnson, Kellett, Membrez, Cushing, and G. Johnson. Nays: None. <br />
