Grauel suggested that a document be prepared between the City and Mid-American Truck <br />Lines assuring that the City will not be required to maintain the street. <br /> <br />Recorronendation <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Rukavina Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Mid-American Truck Lines request for variance to parking setback and division of lot at 1743 <br />County Road C with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) That proper documents be prepared and signed by the City and Mid American Truck <br />Lines assuring that the street will be dedicated to the City and that the property <br />owner will maintain the street. In addition, that the City vehicles may utilize <br />the street. <br />2) That a minimum of a 6 foot high chain link fence be constructed on the western edge <br />of the new street right-of-way. <br />3) That a barrier be constructed around the propane gas tank, <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Cushing, G, Johnson, V. Johnson, Rukavina and Grauel. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Mr. John Finley, representing Mid<.America Truck Lines requested that their application not <br />be placed on the December 8th council agenda but instead be placed on the council agenda <br />for the meeting of December 15, 1975. Nays: None, <br /> <br />Planning File 936 - Chandler Wilbert Vault Company request: for rezoning from R-l to I-I <br />at 2270 North Hamline Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne Dordell, Attorney representing Mr. and ~1rs. Paul Heuser, owners of the property <br />in question, indicated that Chandler Wilbert Vault Company had previously owned the property <br />which is now owned by the Heusers. Several years ago Chandler sold it to the Heusers retain- <br />ing a first option to buy should the Heusers decide to sell, The property is located directly <br />south of the existing Chandler Wilbert plant. Mr. Heuser, a Chandler employee, is now <br />retiring and plans to sell the property. Therefore, the Chandler Company has signed a pur- <br />chase agreement for the property which states that the purchase is contingent on obtaining <br />the rezoning from R-I to I-I. <br />
