Harry Neimeyer, attorney, acting as Bernard Tschida's guardian, indicated that the
application is for the vacation of Albemarle lying between Skillman Avenue and Elmer
Street. He stated that Mr. Tschida owns the property on the east and west side of
Albemarle fronting on Elmer Street.

The property north of Mr. Tschida's property lying east of the portion of Albemarle to
be vacated, is owned by Mr. Fleischacker, who has consented to the vacation. Mr.
Fleischacker also owns an 8 foot strip on the west side of Albemarle adjacent to Lot
1. Lot 2 on the west side of Albemarle is tax forfeit property.

~IT. Neimeyer indicated that Mr. Tschida's property had previously been listed for
sale, but because the dedicated street runs through the middle of the property, there
had been little interest in purchasing. }Ie stated that the property has been taken
off the market until a final decision is made on the vacation request.

Discussion

Mr. Thomas Wold, o1vner of Lot I on the west side of Albemarle, indicated that he was
opposed to the vacation.

Mr. Lary Hanson, 195 Elmer, expressed his concern about what would happen on the pro-
perty if the street were vacated.

Mr. Dahlgren stated the only function Albemarle could serve would be as access to
the property located on the east side of Albemarle., He felt that if the property
between Rice and Albemarle were to be developed, it could be oriented to Rice Street
