Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1041 - FDberts and Hess request for vacation of right-of-way, <br />M:::Carrons Street west of Shady Beach Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Roger Hess, 1891 Wagener Place, indicated that this portion of ~arrons Street <br />extending to McCarrons Lake is unirrproved and has been a problem for many years with <br />parties, etc. occurring on the right-of-way. He stated that the police have been called <br />on numerous occasions. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Hess agreed to dedicate an ease:rrent for the sanitary sewer which is located in the <br />existing right-of-way of McCarrons Street. <br /> <br />RecOIYIIendation <br /> <br />Mr. Sirrons IIDved and Mr. Rukavina seconded, that the Comnission recarmmd approval of <br />Roberts and Hess request for vacation of right-of-way, M::Carrons Street west of Shady <br />Beach Avenue with the corrlition that a 20 foot ease:rrent be provided for the sanitary sewer. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: SiIIDns, Mastel, Cushing, Rukavina and G. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1042 - Nazareth Building Association request for variance to parking <br />setback at 2555 North Snelling Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Tarn Lynch, representing the Nazareth Building Association, indicated the building <br />will be operated by the Knights of Colurrbus (KC' s) fraternal organization with a rrember- <br />ship of about 350. The building will be used for bingo, meetings of the KC IS, rental for <br />wedding receptions, etc. and by other corrmmity groups. He stated that the KC's will pay <br />taxes on the property of approximately $15,000 a year. The application is to permit <br />parking up to the south property line along Oakcrest. The required setback for the parking <br />is 15 feetc <br /> <br />Mr 0 Lynch indicated that with the variance to parking setback at total of 130 cars could <br />be parked on their property. He indicated that the recently adopted city parking ord- <br />inance requires 160 parking spaces, based on a total seating capacity for the building of <br />480 persons. He indicated that the KC I S have signed a joint parking agree:rrent with the <br />Polar Food Locker to the north for the additional 30 spaces 0 <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated that Mr. Bell, City Attorney, had reviewed the parking agree:rrent and <br />that the agree:rrent is for a period of 18 IIDnths, terminating on December 31, 1978. The <br />agree:rrent does not provide any option for renewal on the part of Nazareth Building <br />Association. <br />
