<br />-4- <br /> <br />The attorney for the Nazareth Building Association indicated that he has talked to <br />Polar Food lDcker representatives and they have indicated willingness to cooperate on <br />the joint parking matter, but that they would be reluctant to sign a permanent agree:rrent <br />because of the cloud it would create on the property 0 <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren suggested it was very inportant that adequate parking be provided, and <br />therefore, it is vital that theparking agreerrent be for an extended period of tine. He <br />stated that considering the invest:rrent, the KC' s would surely want to get guarantee <br />sufficient parking is provided for their operationo Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the <br />parking agreerrent with Polar Food should be a permanent one. He also indicated that <br />sidewalks should be provided for fran the parking area in the Polar Food lDcker lot to <br />the KC building entrances. <br /> <br />Mr. John Hill, KC Bingo Manager, indicated that it would be very unusual that both the <br />bingo hall and the :rreeting hall would be used at the same tiIre. He stated there may be <br />a ma.xim..1m of 10 tiIres a year, that both halls would be utilized siImlltaneously 0 Mr 0 Hill <br />stated that bingo is played on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights and Saturday <br />afternoons" He anticipates that the average attendance for the bingo games will be 150 <br />peopleG <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch commented that there would never be rrore than 480 people in the building. <br /> <br />Mr. Mastel indicated he was concerned about the entrance and exit fram Snelling Avenue <br />onto the service road serving the KC building. He stated this was a very hazardous <br />condition at the present time, He also voiced concern about the additional traffic gen- <br />erated by the KC operation and its effect on the children using Rosebrook Park. <br /> <br />The property owner at 2545 fty Street, directly to the west of the proposed parking lot <br />expressed the following concerns: <br /> <br />1. The additional traffic generated by the operation and the potential of parking <br />on the streeto <br /> <br />2. That adequate screening would be provided on Fry Street and suggested that a <br />berm be provided with trees. <br /> <br />3. The present lighting on the building is objectionable because it is directed <br />toward her hane 0 <br /> <br />4. Desire that no wooden fence be used for screening 0 <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch indicated that berms could be placed between the parking lot and Fry Street <br />on the west portion of the property with evergreen trees on top of the berm. He stated <br />that they would be happy to also re-orient the lights on the building. <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson indicated that the Knights of Colurrbus was certainly a fine organization <br />but that the problems of parking and traffic caused by the operation were problems that <br />the Corrmission would have to consider in their deliberation. <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina indicated that the developrent looked like a pretty tight squeeze and he was <br />not sure how the problem could be solved 0 <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch asked about the handling of storm water on the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Kramer suggested that he net with the City staff concerning the storm water drainage. <br />
