<br />-3- <br /> <br />Planning File 1062 - Arthur Beisang request for special use permit at 1385 Centennial Drive <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Beisang indicated that he represented Genetics Laboratories and they proposed to use <br />the existing building for the manufacture of three rredica1 devices: biological dressings, <br />vascular grafts and heart valves. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr'. V. Johnson asked if there would be any reason to consider a time limit on the special <br />'use permit. <br /> <br />Mr'. Dahlgren indicated he didn't feel it would be necessary in this case. Mr. Dahlgren <br />comrented that the Conmission could place a condition on the special use permit lirni ting <br />the rranufacture to the existing rredical devices. <br /> <br />Mr. Beisang stated they v.2:re considering the develo:r:rrent of two additional devices in the <br />future, but they woold be willing to live with such a condition and return for another <br />special use permit if additional devices were develoPed. <br /> <br />Feccmrendation <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett rroved and Mr. SiIIDns seconded, that the Corrrnission recomrend approval of <br />Arthur Beisang's request for special use permit at 1385 Centennial Drive with the condition <br />that only the follCMing rredica1 devices may be manufactured: biological dressings, <br />vascular grafts and heart valves. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1063 - Zantigo request for special use permit, division of lot and variance <br />to sign size at 1895 W. Perirreter Drive <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. A. Hamran indicated that the size of the sign is proposed to be 89 square feet <br />instead of the 88 square feet as indicated in their application. He indicated that the <br />ki tchen hood would be sprinklered but the remaining portion of the building would not. <br />'Ihe restaurant will feature Mexican focds. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicaterl that he felt the plan would be rem:>ved during the winter. <br /> <br />Mr. Harnran stated it was his understanding they were constructed in such a fashion that <br />they remained on the patio year around. <br /> <br />Mr. R1kavina asked that they consider removing them during the winter. <br /> <br />Fecamendation <br /> <br />Mr. Mastel zroved and Mr. Sirrons seconded, that the Carmission reccmrend approval of <br />Zantigo's request for special use permit, division of lot and variance to sign size at <br />1895 West Perirreter Drive with the condition that the developrrent be constructed in <br />accordance with the plans dated July 27, 1977.
