<br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson asked that if the Rice Creek Diversion Project was not <br />constructed, would the city require adequate ponding for a 10 year or 100 <br />year storm? <br /> <br />Mr. Honchell indicated there is no established policy, but that the area <br />would have to be reviewed and determine what results would occur if water <br />did overflON. He said that in this case, he would probably reccmnend that <br />ponding for a 100 year storm be provided. <br /> <br />Mr. Sim:>ns asked hON the pond;; would be maintained if they were to be used <br />as silting basins and located in the rear portion of the properties? <br /> <br />Mr. Honchell indicated that it would be difficult, but that the city would <br />have to clean and maintain them fran tine to tine. <br /> <br />Fecamrendation <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson rroved and Mrs. Cushing seconded, that the Conmission recartrEJld <br />approval of Murlowski and Reiling's request for preliminary plat between <br />Josephine Foad, County Road C-2, Iexington and Merrill with the fOllONing <br />conditions: <br /> <br />1. 'Ihat if the Rice Creek Watershed District has not decided by <br />D9cerrber 31, 1978, to construct the storm water diversion project, <br />that adequate ponding for a 10 year storm be constructed by the <br />developers and that if the Watershed District has made no decision <br />by D9cerrber 31, 1982, that adequate ponding for a 100 year storm be <br />constructed by the developers. <br /> <br />2. That the necessary utility easerrents be provided. <br /> <br />3. 'Ihat lots 1 thru 9, Block 1 of MurlONski' s plat and all lots other than <br />lots 1 thru 11 of Reiling's plat not be built on until the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District has decided to construct its storm water diversion <br />project. <br /> <br />4. That the required dedication of right-of-way be provided as designated <br />on the preliminary plat. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: <br />and V. Johnson. <br /> <br />Rukavina, G. Johnson, Dressler, Cushing, Mastel, Sirrons <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1102 - IX>uglas .Murray request for division of lot at 1000 County <br />Road C-2 <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Ms. :&xbara Philgren, representing the applicant, indicated they proposed to <br />divide the lot and construct another horre. She also indicated that the <br />Murray's attorney would like to review the city's information regarding the <br />pending assessments that are due if the land is divided. <br />
