<br />-3- <br /> <br />Planning File 1159 - John Rose request for division of lot at 1211 Brooks <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the proposal is to divide an existing lot neasuring <br />100 feet x 292 feet into two lots. The new lots will have 14,250 square feet <br />and 15,000 square feet. <br /> <br />Reccmrendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina ITOved am Mrs. Cushing secorrled, that the Cam1ission recorrnen.d <br />approval of John Rose's request for division of lot at 1211 Brooks. Roll Call, <br />Ayes: G. Johnson, Dressler, Mastel, Cushing, Rukavina and V. Johnson. Nays: <br />None. Mr. Silrons was out of the room during the roll call vote. <br /> <br />Planning File 1160 - Steven Farver request for division of lot at 2980 Old <br />Highway 8 <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the existing lot has 150 feet of frontage on Old <br />Highway 8 and a depth of 250 feet. The proposal is to divide the lot into two <br />75' wide lots. <br /> <br />Ieccmrendation <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson rreved and Mr. Rukavina seconded, that the Catm:ission recamend <br />approval of Steven Farver's request for division of lot at 2980 Old Highway 8. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Silrons, G. Johnson, Dressler, Mastel, Cushing, Rukavina and <br />V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1161 - Dohrn Transfer request for vacation of right-of-way and <br />variance to setback at 2750 Cleveland Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated the applicant is requesting that Iona lane be vacated <br />frcm Cleveland Avenue to M::>unt Ridge Road and requesting a variance to the <br />parking setback which would permit parking up to the north am south property <br />lines. The required setback is 20 feet from the north property line and 10 feet <br />frcm the south property line. Mr. Dahlgren indicated that if the unirrproved <br />Iona Lane were vacated it would nean there would be an enonrous block one half <br />mile square with no streets other than the uninproved M::>unt Ridge Road which <br />runs north and south parallel to Cleveland Avenue. This area is bounded by <br />County Iba.d C on the south, County Road C-2 on the north, Cleveland on the west <br />and Fairview on the east. He indicated that if Iona Lane is vacated, access to <br />the property is greatly hanpered. He stated that with the freeway exit on <br />Cleveland, Iona Lane provides good access to that area of land from the freeway. <br />He suggested that the existence of Iona Lane is inportant to future developrrent <br />in the area. <br /> <br />John Tansabel1, representing Dohrn Transfer, indicated that the variance requested <br />is to be able to park up to the north and south property lines whether or not the <br />vacation of right-of-way is approved. <br />
