<br />-9- <br /> <br />Mr. Elling, resident on Oakcrest, indicated the lots are just absolutely too <br />sna11. <br /> <br />Mrs. Swanson, 2511 Femwood, stated that the lot had been undesirable for nany <br />years. She stated that this does not conform to the standards and should not be <br />approved. <br /> <br />Joan Erickson, 1214 Oakcrest, felt that the reason the division is being applied <br />for is that the applicant found the cost of expanding the horre to be too expensive <br />and that they decided to build a new house. She felt the proposed division would <br />inprove the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Berens, 1251 Oakcrest, felt the applicant should have realized this problem <br />when he purchased the home and asked why he couldn't just build a new house on <br />the one lot as it exists today. <br /> <br />Chris Christea, 1211 Oakc:rest, indicated that the proposed lots are substandard. <br />She stated that the existing house was very nice and that it could easily be <br />expanded. She indicated that she did not want substandard lots next door to <br />her lot and felt that it would decrease the value of her prop=rty. <br /> <br />Resident at 1201 Oakcrest indicated they had rroved to Rosevi11e because of the <br />openess and that they opposed the division. <br /> <br />Mrs. Nagel, 2560 Femwood, felt that it was crewding the neighborhood too much. <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina indicated that theone proposed new lot was about one half the min- <br />imum size pennitted by ordinance. He felt it was crowding too much, into too <br />little space. <br /> <br />Mrs. Cushing felt that the lot looks crewded with only the existing house on it. <br /> <br />Recomrendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina IIDved and Mrs. Cushing secoooed, that the Corrmission recozrm:md <br />denial of Zekeriya Yargici' s request for division of lot at 1219 Oakcrest. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson, Sirrons, Cushing, Dressler, Mastel, Rukavina and <br />V.Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1180 - Nortl'Mestern College request for sp=cia1 use permit and <br />variance to parking requirerrent at 3003 Snelling Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that Northwestern College had previously received approval <br />for a sPecial use penni t and parking variance to develop their ~rty a.lIrost <br />identical to this application. However, because the deve10pnent had not been <br />constructed, the sp=cia1 use penni t had expired and they were required to re- <br />apply. He indicat!ed that the two principal changes proposed as C<DIt1pared to the <br />previously approved plan are that additional landscaping has been added on the <br />easterly side of the site contiguous to the single family residential area and <br />an additional exit driveway has been added to re-orient traffic egressing from <br />the site toward Snelling Avenue off Lydia. <br />
