Nierrec indicated that the existing garage on the new lot v.lould be rerroved, <br /> <br />Mrs. Cheryl Sharpe, 1336 willcw Circle, asked if trees would have to be rerroved <br />for the proposed driveway. <br /> <br />.Mr. Nierrec indicated that it vlould be up to the new owner how to place the dri ve- <br />way but he felt that 'Whoever purchased the lot would certainly want to preserve <br />as many trees as possible. <br /> <br />Mr. Ibnald Holmgren, resident on Hamline Avenue, indicated he felt it would be to <br />the best advantage of the neighborhood to have the existing house occupied. <br />He voiced concern about where thenew garage for the existing house would be <br />constructed. , <br /> <br />Mr. !-x:'Guire comrented that a garage could be built on the south side of the existing <br />horre. <br /> <br />Resident at 1380 Willcw Circle indicated that he strongly objected to the proposed <br />division for ~~e following reasons: <br /> <br />1. The proposed netv horre \vould be right in his back yard and would destroy the <br />value of his lot. <br /> <br />2. There would be extensive damage to the environment by construction of a house. <br />'The area is like a beautiful park and is an asset to the City as it is. <br /> <br />3. In the Spring of 1977, he had checked with the City Hall before he built <br />his hone ar.d was told that there was insufficient frontage on HaInline Avenue <br />for the lot to be di videa.. <br /> <br />I1r. Dahlgren indicated that the requireITf2nt is that there be 85 feet of frontage at <br />the building line and in ibis instance, there is considerably rrore than that where <br />thehouse could bebuil t at the rear of the property. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sharp voiced concern about the drainage in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson indicated that any drainage proble.llS would be resolved at the t.i.rre <br />of application for a building permit. <br /> <br />Hr. Sam Cave indicated that he felt vlhoever buys the property would certainly \Vcll1t <br />to preserve all the trees and, therefore, it would seem better not to restrict the <br />OWIler by reqrtiring the 30 foot setbacks from all the property lines. 'Ihis action <br />might actually rrean that ffiJre trees are renuved. <br /> <br />!'Ir. Rukavina COnYr'ented that he agreed \dth JI-'lr. Cave, and felt that the 30 foot <br />setback on all four sides would limit the new property owner. <br /> <br />Jf,r.
