<br />-2- <br /> <br />Mrs. Olink, 415 Wagner Street, then presented a petition to the Camtission containing <br />16 signatures which indicated support for the request of Mr. Widerski that the street <br />not be conpleted through to Western. <br /> <br />G. Johnson asked if the Western cul de sac would have to be purchased by the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Honchell indicated that it should be dedicated by the owners in that area. <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina indicated that he felt coopletion of Wagner Street to Western would enhance <br />the ability of the City to provide services. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that should the street be recomrended as going through to western, <br />that the applicant had indicated that he could make the property into three lots instead <br />of two. <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina then roved and Mrs. Dressler seconded, a rotion that the Cornnission reconm:md <br />approval of a plan which would include no vacation of right-of-way, dedication by <br />Mr. Widerski of t.rn north 30 feet of his property to right-of-way, the division of the <br />property into three lots, and that utili ties be extended to these new lots. <br /> <br />Further discussion indicated that Mrs. O.1Shing was not convinced of the reasons for going <br />against the request and George Johnson indicated that the neighbors should be able to do <br />what they felt was best with that area. <br /> <br />Upon the vote being taken the follCMing were for the mtion: Rukavina, V. Johnson, Mastel. <br />'Ihe fOllCMing were against the rotion: Cushing, G. Johnson, SiIIDns, Dressler. The rotion <br />failed. <br /> <br />Recamendation <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson roved and Mrs. Cushing Seconded, that the Com:nission recormend approval <br />of Mr. Widerski' s request for division of lot and vacation of right-of-way at 386 Wagner <br />with the follCMing conditions: <br /> <br />1) '!hat a pennanent utility easenent be retained over that portion vacated. <br />2) 'Ihat portions of Lots 17, 18, 19 and 23, Block 2 of Rolling Green Subdivision <br />and Parcels 1 and 2 of the Widerski property be dedicated to the City. <br />3) 'Ihat the north 20 feet of Parcels 1 and 2 of the Widerski property be dedicated as <br />utility easenents. <br />4) '!hat the western,lWagner cul de sac be petitioned for. <br />5) 'll1at the sanitary sewer and water utilities be extended easterly along Wagner to <br />Western Avenue. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Dressler, Sirrons, G. Johnson, O.1Shing, V. Johnson. Nays: Rukavina, <br />Mastel. <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina wished to go on the record as being opposed to the recomrendation because of <br />the service preblerrs associated with cul de sacs. <br />
