They would live there occasionally. Mr. Moriarity
indicated he did not live in the home, and he planned to rent it. Mr. Earl
Jaeger, 2621 Fisk, indicated that basically this house proposed for rezoning
was the same as his, and he did not feel the lot should be rezoned. Mr.
Bruce Brown, neighbor immediately to the south, indicated the basement was
finished off for use by the wife's mother for two or three weeks durinq the
summer. He also indicated the previous owner had called him this past week
and commented that when the sale of the house had been closed, Mr. Moriarity
had signed a statement indicating the house would be used for single family.
Mr. Brown indicated his strong opposition to the rezoning, and commented that
if this one were permitted, there would be other requests in the future. Mr.
Charlie Timm, 2614 Fisk. expressed his opposition to the rezoning. He stated
he has talked to several neighbors in the area who are also opposed. Mr.
Moriarity indicated this apartment would be as fine as any in Roseville.
He stated the house was set up beautifully for a duplex with entrances on
two different levels. Mr. John Schmidt, 807 Rose Place, expressed his
opposition to the rezoning. Mr. Jaeger indicated the basement garage
has not been used for probably 20 years because of the difficulty in getting
up the hill from the garage during the winter time. He stated
the applicant proposes to divide the property into two R-2 lots. Mr.
Dahlgren indicated because the R-2 lot is contiguous to a commercial zone,
a multiple dwelling could be constructed on the property. The advantage
to this would be that a single driveway could serve the entire parcel rather
than two driveways that would result when the land is divided. Mr. Dahlgren
also indicated there should be an easement for the sanitary sewer at the
east end of the property if it were to be divided. He commented there is
an additional 10' of right-of-way required for Dale Street. Mr. John McCarron,
owner of the property, indicated they had hoped to sell the property as one
parcel, however, they have had no success to this time. He felt if the
property was divided, it might be easier to sell. He agreed to providing
~n ~asement for the sewer to the east side of the property. Mr. Johnson
lndlcated this property could potentially be developed for a multiple,
