Planning Commission Minutes September 1, 1982 -3- Mr. Cornelies Van Doren, President of the North Suburban Senior Council, presented a petition to the Commission, signed by approximately 102 Roseville residents, and 87 nonresidents, supporting the School District proposal for additional parking on the south side of the gym. He urged the Commission to favorably consider the application. Mr. Rukavina indicated that he was opposed to the parking lot without some provision for keeping vehicles off the south portion of the School District's property. He commented that the proposed parking lot and problem of vehicles on the playground were connected, and that the Commission had, in the past, placed similar conditions on recommendations. Recommendation Dressler Moved, Matson Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of School District 623's request for special use permit at 1910 County Road B, with the condition that the parking lot be constructed as shown on the plan dated July 1, 1982. Rukavina Moved and Moeller Seconded, that the motion be amended to include a condition that a vehicular barrier, of a type that would meet the City Engineer's requirements, be constructed along the School District east property line from the south property line to the south end of the new parking lot. Roll Call on the amendment, Ayes: Moeller and Rukavina. Nays: Dressler, Mastel, ~1atson, Cushing, and Johnson. (Amendment defeated.) Vote on main motion: Ayes: Moeller, Dressler, ~1astel, Matson, Cushing, and Johnson. Nays: Rukavina. Planning File 1385 - St. Paul and Suburban Bus Company request for special use permit and variance at 2975 Partridge Road. Presentation Mr. North indicated the applicant is considering another parcel of property for the bus terminal, and recommended the Commission continue this item for one more month. Recommendation Rukavina Moved, Matson Seconded, that St. Paul and Suburban Bus Company's request for special use permit and variance at 2975 Partridge Road be con- tinued until the October 6th Planning Commission meeting. Roll Call, Ayes: Moeller, Dressler, Mastel, ~1atson, Rukavina, Cushing, and Johnson. Nays: None.
