Roseville Planning Commission Meeting
September 4, 1985

P~e 8

PlannilUl ~..lQjQ

Commers-Klodt reqeust for vacation of public easement.

Presentation

Mr. Dahlgren pointed out that when this building was first constructed, a
public easement for right-of-way was dedicated which could have provided for
the extension of Anthony Lane from the City of St. Anthony. Ultimately the
properties to the west and to the east were developed by the applicants and
Patton Road was platted and subseqently built. Thus the easement from the St.
Anthony side is not really required.

Mr. Matson moved, seconded by Ms. Dressler that the easement vacation be
granted.

Roll Call: Ayes: Matson, Dressler, Johnson, Mueller, Wiski

Nays: None

Abstain: DeBenedet

PlanniM File 1611

Golden Age Nursing Home, variance to east side yard parking setback at 1415
County Road B.

Presentation

Mr. Dahlgren discussed this proposal pointing out that two plans have now been
presented; one of which creates space for 65 cars and one that creates space
for 57 cars. The two plans are basically being presented as a result of the
fact that there were some problems with the owner to the north, in terms of
utilization of that particular property.

Tom Dunwell, the architect representing the project, also appeared to discuss
the project and discussed both plans with the Planning Commission members. He
asked that both plans be approved contingent upon a final agreement with the
Blumbergs at a later date.

Discussion

Dick (unidentified) pointed out that Albert should not become a no-parking
street. Steve Riegel asked what the rumors were regarding the purchase of the
three homes in the area. Riegel pointed out that he did not have any problem
with the proposed parking scenario.
