<br />Roseville Planning Commission Minutes <br />May 6, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Stokes, DeBenedet, Goedeke, Moeller, Berry, <br />Maschka, and Johnson. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1743 <br />Marvin Lundquist request for Special Use Permit and variance to <br />the zoning ordinance at 1331 Larpenteur Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />Dahlgren discussed the site, showed how the area is currently <br />zoned for business, and where the fence would be constructed for <br />trash and tire purposes. Dahlgren pointed out that the fence <br />could be built at four feet; however, the applicant is requesting <br />eight feet that requires a variance. <br /> <br />Dahlgren stated also that the right-of-way dedication on Hamline <br />must be signed, which has not occurred at this point in time. <br /> <br />Johnson asked how long the tires would be stored. <br />replied approximately one week. <br /> <br />Lundquist <br /> <br />Berry asked if the access was through the handicapped <br />Lundquist replied yes, but the tires were only moved <br />area at the end of the work day. <br /> <br />parking. <br />into the <br /> <br />Maschka asked why the facility would be constructed of wood <br />not the same material as the building. He also stated his <br />concern with respect to the erosion at the rear of the building. <br /> <br />Lundquist stated that he simply leases the building, and he <br />expects that all landscaping and other requirements should be <br />addressed. <br /> <br />Janisch proceeded to discuss some of the difficulties that <br />occurred with respect to drainage in the area. <br /> <br />Cushman stated her concern with respect to tires being stored on <br />the premise, and asked as to whether this was in the original <br />proposal. Lundquist stated that when he leased the facility, he <br />assumed that tires could be stored on the site. <br /> <br />DeBenedet asked as to whether a roof was going to be constructed <br />on the fence. Lundquist replied, no there would not. <br /> <br />Goedeke again stated his concern about the height of the fence. <br />
