ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Page://:

4

Wednesday, May 4, 1988

Honchell pointed out that the Army Corps of Engineers had not
changed their mind, that they are still saying that there is no
fill allowed beyond the high water line.

Roy Erwin, 2825 Victoria, pointed out that victoria Street is a
race track, and that there is a problem with the curve in the
area. Mr. Erwin questioned what would happen if the street needs
to be widened. Honchell replied that at this time the right of
way needs to be increased as proposed in the plat, but that the
actual widening of the street has not been scheduled.

Mr. O'Brien questioned why this plat should be considered when no
clear determination has been made concerning the lake. Johnson
commented that the lake lines had been determined.

Roger Nelson, 2916 Owasso, questioned where lines were, and
pointed out that the DNR had stopped him from filling in some
holes around the trees on his lot. Johnson answered that the
line can be determined by looking where cattails end and dry land
vegetation starts.

O'Brien indicated he was opposed to the plat as in everyone else
in the area that there appears to be no reason for developing
this site, and that it should be left open.

Broenen stated that he bought his lot for the view of the lake
and set the grades on his lot to maximize his view. He indicated
that the area should be left undisturbed.

usenik indicated concern where the road would go if victoria were
straightened. Honchell pointed out that there would be no
construction outside of the right of way and that the County had
not commented that there would be any straightening done or
additional right of way needed beyond the 86 feet proposed.

Johnson closed the public hearing.

Debenedet inquired if the various lines were established by
surveyors in the field. Honchell pointed out that DNR surveyed
and staked their line and that Reilings surveyors established the
rest of the lines shown on the plat.

Johnson informed the commission that comments were received from
the following two people who could not attend the meeting.

Glen Yakel, 2895 W. Owasso Boulevard, indicated his opposition to
the proj ect because denial was in the best interest of the
community, there were no lack of houses on the lake, that he had
