Bierschied replied <br />that there would be lights provided, and that there would be <br />exits on both ends of the building. <br /> <br />Johnson commented that the lighting should be focused downward <br />and not into the park area. Bierschied indicated that he would <br />address this with the owners. <br /> <br />DeBenedet expressed concern that past conditions concerning <br />pavement removal had not been taken care of yet. staff indicated <br />they would check this out. <br /> <br />DeBenedet inquired if there would be handicapped ramps provided. <br />Bierschied responded that he didn't know. Berry pointed out that <br />with the investment being made handicapped improvements would be <br />required. Bierschied indicated that handicapped restrooms were <br />being provided. <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Goedeke moved, DeBenedet seconded to approve the special use <br />permit to allow a gymnastics school at 1969 West County Road C-2. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Goedeke, Berry, DeBenedet, Maschka, <br />Stokes, Johnson <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />other Business <br /> <br />Review and recommendations concerning city ordinances and <br />policies relating to outside storage and merchandise. <br /> <br />Johnson introduced the item and indicated that she felt it would <br />be appropriate to set goals tonight and not attempt to write the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Dahlgren outlined the history of the ordinance, problems and the <br />city attorney's concerns. Dahlgren said that if the commission <br />would give general policy direction, staff would draft specific <br />ordinance changes for review by the commission at subsequent <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Johnson inquired if you could allow lawn and garden stores to <br />have outside storage and maintenance while not allowing other <br />outside storage. Dahlgren stated that this could be done, but <br />the definition of lawn and garden store could be difficult. The <br />city could also allow outside storage and merchandising on a <br />
